Commonwealth Games Security and what it means for your Business

Superintendent Mark PlathSuperintendent Mark Plath assumed his QPS G20 Group appointment in October 2012, with responsibilities for corporate governance, program management and media, communications and external engagement. Post-G20, Mark was appointed Program Manager, Coordination and Readiness, Commonwealth Games Group with responsibilities for: governance and program management; engagement; preparedness and exercising; and operational support.

Mark is also a Colonel in the Australian Army Reserve, currently on the Standby Reserve. He has completed several tertiary level qualiļ¬cations including a Master of Defence Studies. He is an alumnus of the Australian Army Command and Staff College (1998), the Australian Institute of Police Management (2006 and 2010) and the FBI National Academy, Quantico (2008). Mark is also an accredited Executive Coach.

As well as covering Commonwealth Games Security, Superintendent Plath will discuss the recently launched Operation Sentinel Unite, an initiative aimed at safety and security awareness for business and the community in the lead up and over the duration of the Games.
