Keeping Qld front of mind in Japan

See how Qantas and a Japanese musician's 2019 partnership is keeping our state connected internationally in 2020.

Japanese musician and YouTube influencer, Ayumu Yamashita visited Queensland to perform at the Woodford Folk Festival in late 2019. In partnership with Qantas, a series of videos documenting this journey has been promoted in recent months amassing more than 350,000 views. Joined by ukulele-playing Kaiki and budding singer Kecori, this was the second visit to Queensland for the group, following their Queensland road trip in late 2018. The music video developed as a result of their first visit has received more than 129,000 views on YouTube, with 40,000 views being generated in Japan since March 2020, linked to people searching for travel-related content during COVID-19.
