Having been a part of the Burleigh community since 1947, this business has remained within the family since 1999. A rarity in today's modern and fast-paced world.

Now the second oldest Dry Cleaners and Laundry businesses in the Gold Coast region, this member joined our business community in 2020. A tough year for everyone, though owner Virginia Freebody explains that now is the time to focus on expanding and growing her business. Joining the chamber is a preliminary step in doing so. This wouldn't be the first time for Virginia after having played roles in several other advocacy bodies including having been a member of the Dry Cleaners and Laundry Association of Australia and in the United States for 20 Years and serving on the committee of the Drycleaning Institute of Australia.

Burleigh Heads Dry Cleaners & Laundry is in safe hands, with its owner having studies the industry through university and TAFE. But what sets this business apart from the rest, it's one of the only Dry Cleaners & Laundry businesses on the eastern seaboard of Australia to have a female owner.
