Member Spotlight: Regen Australia

Operating since 1998 in QLD and NSW, this business is focussed on improving our environment and community.

Employing over 40 staff delivering ecological restoration and vegetation management solutions to our valued clients, Regen Australia runs a dedicated local native plant nursery which has planted more than 3.5 million local plants. They have also successfully completed >1000 projects for Government, Corporate, Private and NGO clients and taking home “Business of the Year - Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards" with the support of a number of repeat clients. Regen Australia is a business on the move, with an extensive range of services and the ability to adapt under pressure.

While many have had to tackle the newfound pressures of COVID-19, Regen Australia General Manager, Mark Bibby, says that the last 12 months have provided a number of challenges beyond just COVID-19 for his business including the very dry weather and the impact of local bushfires.

Managing the health and safety of our remote workers was a priority during this period. The bushfire threat began to abate around the same time that we became aware of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It was at this time that, in response to the threat of a pandemic, Mark and his team prepared a Covid-19 response team. Firstly providing staff with information and resources to remain safe and PPE and sanitising resources whilst at work. Mark also made a bold move to support his team by offering a one-off Covid payment to assist with extra expenses the team might incur.

Mark believes that staying connected with clients and staff is key to surviving these difficult times while also ensuring you're always up to date on the latest government and industry information.

Be open and honest and buy from other local businesses wherever possible.
