Palm Beach Master-Planning Event

On Friday May 8th a number of the Creek to Creek Committee members were invited to join a group of other interested parties to discuss and workshop the concepts being considered for the development of the Palm Beach commercial zone. Ian Grace and Chris Ward joined Hilary Jacobs at this important developmental meeting.

Jann Stuckey MP, from State Government attended, as did Cllr McDonald from the City of Gold Coast Council Division 13. The City Architect was also a part of the group. A number of local businesses were there as was a representative of The Pavilions. Whilst this is still at the master planning concept stage, the ideas presented, if they eventuate will be vital to the long term future of the Palm Beach area. Hilary has been involved in a number of master planned developments in the past both in Australia and in the UK. She highlighted the importance of the inclusion of all stakeholders in the vision for an area, as the most effective way of bringing this style of development, involving both the private and public sectors and the various levels of government to fruition. As a member of the Chamber your voice can be heard in these types of events.  If you have any comments please feel free to contact any member of the Committee.
