Palm Beach Youth Music Venture to Perform at 2010 Business Awards

The Palm Beach Youth Music Venture (PBYMV) will reveal sweet musical talents in their first public performance at the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce 2010 Business Awards, tonight Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Currumbin RSL.

The Palm Beach Youth Music Venture (PBYMV) will reveal sweet musical talents in their first public performance at the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce 2010 Business Awards, tonight Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Currumbin RSL.
 
PBYMV harmonizes Gold Coast teens from all walks of life through musical empowerment aiming to connect, build and entertain within the Palm Beach, Elanora and Currumbin area.
 
PBYMV’S Vocal Mentor and Event Manager, Lesia Mannion, is certain a group enthusiasm will shine bright during their 2010 business awards performance. “I would expect the award attendees will be shocked at the amount of talent these kids have”, said Mannion. “The same way I and others involved felt when they first walked in and auditioned. I will be extremely proud to say that I am involved with the PBYMV when they get up and perform at the Business Awards.”
 
“The attendees can expect a wide range of different talent on the night”.
 
A seperate concert celebrating 12 weeks of the group’s efforts will be held at the end of the project and a community festival will also tune upcoming exposure for the PBYMV.
 
“The PBYMV are really enthusiastic and eager to be involved with the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce Awards this year”.
 
“Not only do they get to experience an on stage performance but are also excited being nominated in one of the divisions too”, said Mannion.
 
“Some of the youth involved in the PBYMV have never performed in public so the awards create a fantastic short term goal for them.”
 
The PBYMV is a volunteer organisation currently seeking sponsorship and support.
 
“We are always looking for anyone who would like to be involved”, said Mannion.
 
Apart from the PBYMV, a host of local businesses and not-for profit groups will be recognised at the event. 2010 Awards categories include:
 
• Tursa Under 25 Business Achiever
 
• The Pines Business Achievement Award: 5 or less employees
 
• Currumbin RSL Business Achievement Award: 6-30 employees
 
• Red Heeler Business Achievement Award: 30 plus employees
 
• Inology Business Achievement Award: Home Business
 
• Bendigo Bank Business Achievement Award: Non profit/ Community organization
 
• Soul Arch Media Business Achievement Award: Product or service innovation
 
• Bayview Enterprises Special Achievement Award: Business or individual
