Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary together with Southern Gold Coast partners, Tropical Fruit World and Jellurgal Aboriginal and Cultural Centre have put together a Southern Gold Coast shout out to tourism industry trade to let them know that even though you can’t travel right now, that they are all still thinking of them.

Right now the tourism industry should be enjoying ATE 20, catching up with industry friends and discussing business, however, sadly this is not to be this year.  They wanted to let their trade and industry contacts know that we are thinking of them and are look forward to the time when they can meet again and welcome guests back, which we hope is in the not to distant future.

The team have produced a video that shows what is still happening behind closed doors for these three iconic establishments.

GM of Global Sales for Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Scott Kirk tell us 'Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been operating for 73 years and like you, we are not immune to the wide spread effects of COVID-19.  In fact, 2020 is one of the most challenging years in our long history, but rest assured we are working on a recovery plan and we will be back better than ever once we are given the green light to open again.'

'There is a lot of life behind the closed doors of one of Australia’s leading wildlife Sanctuaries!  Life for our wildlife and hospital teams continues to be busy and we have been working on a number of projects to make the Sanctuary even more beautiful when we reopen to our guests!!'' Scott mentions.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary General Manager, Michael Kelly also released a note to the local community and their partners on what's happening within the tourist facility, along with plans for the reopening. You can view the letter here
