Commonwealth Games Information

The Commonwealth Games will be held on the Gold Coast from 4th to 15th April 2018.

A number of events will be held around the Palm Beach, Currumbin, Elanora area and The Pines Elanora is right in the action.

This page is to keep our local customers informed of activities, events and closures that may be occurring leading up to, and over, the games period.

Test Event – Cycling Road Race Currumbin, Sunday 29 October 2017

The Cycling Australia Masters Road National Championships will be held on Sunday 29 October 2017. With start and finish at Currumbin Alley, the 18.7km closed-road circuit will wind through Elanora and Currumbin Valley. Find Out More

Cycling Australia Masters Road National Championships

The Cycling Australia Masters Road  National Championships will be held on Sunday 29 October 2017.

The closed-road circuit is an 18.7km loop from the Currumbin Beachfront to Elanora and out through Currumbin Valley. This event is being used as a test event for Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, when the same route will be used.
