Hilary has lived at Currumbin Waters since moving from the Snowy Mountains in December 2011 with her husband. Hilary has been the Centre Manager at The Pines since September 2012 and was an active member of the Creek to Creek Chamber Committee, which she joined in March 2013. Hilary became President of the Creek to Creek Chamber following the AGM elections in 2015. Hilary guided the Chamber through it's merger in 2016 with the Southern Gold Coast Chamber, when the Chamber was renamed The Greater Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce and Hilary was elected as the new President of the merged Chamber.

The Pines Shopping Centre is a leading sub-regional retail centre on the Gold Coast, home to Coles, Kmart, and over 90 specialty tenancies employing over 1,000 locals – including both independent and national retail groups. Along with the owners of the Centre, Hilary represents these retail businesses at the Chamber. The primary consumer trade area for The Pines takes in the suburbs of Elanora, Palm Beach, Currumbin and Tallebudgera. These suburbs make up the catchment of the GSGC Chamber of Commerce. Hilary has been involved in institutional retail shopping centre management for almost 20 years. Hilary’s shopping centre experience started in the UK in Sheffield in 1999. Hilary migrated to Australia in 2004 and has managed Shopping Centres for a number of major institutional owners including most recently AMP. Prior to joining The Pines, Hilary was Centre Manager for a similar sub regional centre at Queanbeyan NSW where she was also a founding member of the Queanbeyan Business Development Board for 3 years and an active member of the Queanbeyan Business Council. Hilary’s involvement with various Chambers of Trades dates back to her time as a Department Store Manager in the UK, where she was an active member of the Moor Retailers Association for 8 years, with 5 years spent as the Associations Chairman. Hilary was also a retail representative on the Sheffield City Forum for a number of years. From 2000-2003 Hilary was heavily involved in Master Planning with the Sheffield City Council for future of The Moor area of Sheffield.

Ian Grace is Owner/ Director of Ian Grace Business Training

Since 1994 he has delivered his Advertising and Customer Service Programs throughout USA, Canada, UK, Australia and NZ. He previously worked and researched overseas for 16 years.

He has been invited to speak 9 times at the Realtors Conference and Expo, USA – the world’s largest Real Estate Conference – the only person outside North America ever invited more than 4 times.

His real estate Advertising and Customer Service articles and videos are published worldwide and he is a regular columnist for Realtor mag online, USA and REM, The National real estate magazine for Canada.

His business was winner of the 2012 Creek to Creek and Southern Chambers of Commerce Business Award in the 5 or less employees category.

As part of the Federal Government’s New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS), Ian has helped set up well over 200 small businesses on the Gold Coast, with documented successful outcomes of 91.5%.

In February 2015, he was elected Chairman of the Palm Beach, Elanora and Burleigh (Police) Community Consultative Committee – an organisation established to develop a partnership between the Police and the community.

Author – his "3600 Real Estate Customer Service Ideas" book is No. 1 worldwide and he uses his hobby of writing children's books, to raise money for the Children's Health Foundation.

He is also the Founder and President of the multi community service award-winning Youth Music Venture, a voluntary organisation engaging and enriching the lives of local youth since 2010.

After a twenty year management career in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry with organisations including Unilever, Kraft Foods, Nestle and SC Johnson, Mike moved back to the Gold Coast to start his own business in printing & graphic design..

He joined the Robina / Varsity Chamber of Commerce and served on its Committee for a number of years. Mike has been an active member of the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce since 2007 (now the Greater Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce).

John Mitchell

John has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for more than ten years and been on the committee for almost as long.

John has been a software / website developer for over 30 years and started his business “Inology” back in 2003. He and his team build websites for their clients on their very own platform they developed called The Internet Platform.

The Internet Platform is a website management system that includes the necessary components needed to quickly and easily build and maintain world-class websites. These components have been built from the ground up to integrate seamlessly with each other to build websites of any type from CMS and blogging to ecommerce to event booking to directory listings and beyond.

John continues to develop his systems, his business, himself and staff to improve the quality he provides clients.
