GREAT NEWS! 🎉 More of our theme parks are reopening.

As restrictions ease and businesses embrace their COVID-Safe plans, our biggest tourism operators are beginning to re-open their doors. See which operators and when below.

Village Roadshow has announced it will begin progressively reopening its Gold Coast theme parks from later this month. The CEO of Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Clark Kirby, said they were taking a "conservative approach" to reopening, with a 50 per cent capacity at each park. "At one point we were losing between 10 to 15 million dollars a month," he said. "When you think of the size of these parks and the complexity of them, it's not like flicking a switch so you do have to have a slower ramp up.".

Similarly, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary General Manager Michael Kelly says they’re excited to be able to open again. “Our animals and our staff are really looking forward to welcoming people back to the sanctuary,” Mr Kelly said. “Our sanctuary will look very different when we reopen. We will have a very detailed COVID-safe plan so that means part of our sanctuary may be different to what they’ve experienced before”.
