Qld's new Cabinet & Shadow Cabinet

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk revealed her full frontbench line-up for the 57th Parliament while opposition leader David Crisafulli reveals a 'strong, experienced and hungry' shadow cabinet.

Following a tough fought campaign, Qld decided to re-elect the Qld Labor Government. A re-elected Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk wasted no time getting back to business announcing her new frontbench line-up, which includes both new and familiar faces. LNP Leader and newly appointed leader of the opposition, David Crisafulli, also revealed a 'strong, experienced and hungry' shadow cabinet. The new shadow cabinet included the likes of Currumbin MP, Laura Gerber, who will serve as Shadow Assistant Minister for Justice, Youth, Night-time Economy and Cultural Development.

The cabinet carve-up will give a renewed focus to the COVID-19 recovery, Ms Palaszczuk said, with a new ministry of hydrogen to recognise "the importance of this valuable new energy source". Parliament will resume in the final week of November followed by budget sittings in December.
