SECURE DISPOSAL DAY – 1 August 2020

The Gold Coast District Neighbourhood Watch is running a secure disposal day on Saturday, 1 August 2020, at Robina Town Centre between 9am and 12 noon with access to the site adjacent to Event Cinemas off Collyer Quays..

This day is an opportunity for all Gold Coast residents to dispose of paper-based documents which they may not wish to put in their recycling bin, or which would take hours to put through their shredder, all at the cost of a gold coin donation. The day is conducted in partnership with the Gold Coast City Council, Shred-X – the company which holds the secure disposal contract with the Council – and with the Robina Town Centre. Material such as meeting minutes, taxation records, property purchase information, photographs, legal documents, personal correspondence – anything paper based. The only requirement is to remove bulldog clips and to take all material from lever arch files.
Manilla folders, staples and paper clips are all okay. All material will be held in securely locked bins and recycled through the Shred-X disposal facility in Ormeau. All COVID-19 precautions will be in place, and Queensland Health has given us approval to conduct the event again. There is no limit on the volume.
